OUR MINISTRIES
The members of the Papal Seminary community engage both in Pastoral ministries and Social ministries under the guidance of one staff animator for each. This helps them to equip themselves with skills of service and deepens their spiritual life..
liturgy and liturgical singing
Our seminarians help many parishes of Pune and Kalyan dioceses in organizing Sunday liturgy. They also help out in liturgical singing and help the faithful experience God through worship.
basic christian communities
Formation of faith can be effective in small communities of faith. To this end, many parishes organize prayer meetings in small communities which are formed and animated by our seminarians in many parishes. They also animate different pious associations of the parishes. They also make house visits, meet people and pray for and with them. For our seminarians, this has been a great spiritual nourishment.
sunday school
Many of our seminarians also engage actively in teaching catechism to the parish children on Sundays. They prepare these children to receive the sacraments of Holy Communion and Confirmation. The faith of these little children have always been a great source of joy for our seminarians. about you.
empowering unprivileged children
Many children of immigrant construction laborers, of sex laborers are given free coaching classes to get good results in examinations. Special programs are organized for the children if neighborhood and of Wagholi to help them develop skills for successful learning. Poor children are also financially helped to pursue their studies.
service to orphans and the aged
As part of their ministry, our seminarians visit orphanages, home for the special children and the home for the aged. They spend the day nursing them thus communicating God's unconditional love to these little ones. Our seminarians have found this ministry spiritually enriching and rewarding.
care for the earth (tatumitra)
Creating environmental awareness is the chief objective of this ministry. Our seminarians organize awareness programs for people of different age groups. They also train school children to promote environmental awareness among others, thus fostering in them the value of caring for the earth. They also plant tress and organize training programs to use bio products that would not pollute the earth.
